Welcome

I can’t believe I’m officially starting a blog/website about myself. I have been wanting to do this for years now and I’ve actually started several blogs/websites and completely given up on them multiple times over the years…. But I’m going to make this one stick!

But this isn’t going to a fashion blog or a blog about beauty or anything like that (because let’s be serious, my little sister does my makeup whenever I can get her to and I’m a newly wed college student with a husband who’s also in college, so we can’t afford to look to glam over here, lol). This is mostly going to be a place for me to write my thoughts, share my passions (photography and videography), and bits and pieces of life with the Zendejas’.

So let me quickly introduce myself (for those of of you who don’t know me…. and for those who do, here’s your refresher course on me). My name is Shanoah Lauren Zendejas. My middle name is not said how you think it is. I tend to respond to Shanilla (which most people think my name is upon first hearing it and they always comment on how pretty a name that is….), Shannon, Noah, Sha-Nay-Nay and a myriad of other names. The most exciting thing that’s happened recently is that I got married six months ago (I will write an entire blog post on the wedding day and all the drama and happenings and the good food later)! My husband’s name is Ruben and he is the best thing that has ever happened to me. We met at BYU (once again, I’ll post our whole story from start to engagement in another blog post) four years ago and started dating a little over a year ago and here we are today! We are both students at BYU (kind of…. it’s complicated…. ask me another time, haha) and we both love to dance and spend Saturday’s watching endless football games. We love rooting for the underdog and take their losses way too personally. And we are both members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

My current obsessions are: trying to convince my husband to let me get a puppy, Gilmore Girls, Grey’s Anatomy, Ramen Noodles, and looking for furniture that we cannot afford and have absolutely no room for in our apartment. I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico (no, I have never watched Breaking Bad…. yes, it is as cracked out as I’ve heard Breaking Bad is). My favorite season is fall (warm in the days, but crisp air in the morning and at night).

Well, that’s really all I can think of (and as I said, there are many blog posts to come). I hope that some of you will read along as I continue to eat one too many bowls of Ramen and watch way too much Netflix!
